- What does the DPF warning light mean?
- It indicates the filter needs attention, often because regeneration hasn't completed. The right response depends on the stored fault codes and the vehicle's condition.
- What is a DPF delete?
- It is the software change that accompanies physical removal of the filter, so the engine management no longer monitors or regenerates it. It is not a cleaning or repair service.
- Can you remove the DPF from my road car?
- Deleting or removing emissions-control equipment may be unlawful for vehicles used on public roads. We assess enquiries for eligible specialist or off-road applications only, and we do not provide these services for road-going vehicles.
- Why does my car keep trying to regenerate?
- Repeated regeneration usually means something is preventing completion, such as short journeys, a sensor fault or another engine issue. We work from the fault information rather than guessing.
- Can STX assess my vehicle in South Acton?
- Send your registration, symptoms, intended vehicle use and postcode in South Acton. We'll confirm whether an enquiry can proceed and whether a workshop or mobile arrangement is appropriate.
- Do I need to come to the workshop?
- Some work genuinely requires our Slough workshop; for eligible enquiries a mobile arrangement may be possible. We'll confirm the right arrangement before any booking.
