What is ECU remapping?
Your engine control unit (ECU) runs software that decides how much fuel, boost and ignition timing the engine uses. Remapping changes that software for your specific engine, usually to give more usable torque and a sharper throttle response.
How much does Stage 1 cost?
It depends on your exact engine and ECU. Where we have a verified price, it's shown on your car's page in our shop. Otherwise we'll give you an individual quote before anything is booked.
Can my car be remapped on standard hardware?
Many turbocharged petrol and diesel cars can have Stage 1 on standard hardware. The car needs to be healthy, with no warning lights or known faults. Choose your car or send your registration and we'll confirm.
Do you offer mobile ECU remapping?
Yes. Our mobile technicians can remap many vehicles at your home or workplace, generally within around 50 miles of Slough. Some cars need workshop access, and we'll tell you before booking.
Will my car need a gearbox remap?
Not always. It depends on your transmission, how much extra torque the engine remap adds and how you'd like the car to drive. Gearbox software is quoted separately where it's relevant.
Can tuning affect insurance or warranty?
Yes. You should tell your insurer about any modification, and a remap can affect a manufacturer warranty claim on related parts. Check your terms before booking.
